Product property

Cuprous oxide: red powder, specific gravity 6.00. The melting point is 1235°C. The boiling point is 1800°C. Soluble in hydrochloric acid, ammonium chloride, ammonia water, insoluble in alcohol, water, slowly oxidized to copper oxide in humid air, relatively stable and toxic in dry air.

Uses

Light cuprous oxide is mainly used in the manufacture of ship bottom antifouling paint (to kill low-level marine animals), pesticide bactericides. .
